Mt Tamborine is an oasis for people looking to escape from the hectic speed, demands and pressures of every day life.
Surrounded by 6 national parks and miles of walking tracks we are spoilt for immersion in unspoilt rainforest, waterfalls and brilliant views. Our views range from the landscape on the West and the lights of the Coast to the East. Beautifully clean fresh air and an abundance of flora and fauna are best exemplified by our creatively planned and beautifully kept Botanical Gardens at Eagle Heights.
Food – The Good, Great and Indulgent:
We are spoilt for choice dining out – we get value for money and great food all on our doorstep. See our Recommendations page for great places to eat out.
Just a little Tipple!
Tamborine Mountain Distillery on Beacon Road with over 200 national and international awards there is bound to be something for every palate – Limoncello to Wattle Toffee, Lemon Myrtle Vodka to Sour Plum.
Witches Fall Winery: Growing every day in reputation and standing this winery offers wine tasting and events in conjunction with AU Winery

Our summers are less humid than the coast and Brisbane and can offer refreshing respite. Spring and Autumn are the mountain at the best – blue skies, brilliant sunshine and fabulously clean air. The crisp coolness of our Winters allows us to indulge in lighting fires to warm toes and hearts. Be sure to bring a jumper if you are coming in winter!
Markets: On the second Sunday of the month there are large markets at the Showgrounds on Main Western road with entertainment, food, plant and garden stalls, local produce, crafts and handmade speciality foods. On the last Sunday of the month an additional market is held on Long Road.
Shopping: An eclectic range of shops can be found on the mountain – perfect for a days browsing (with pubs and restaurants in close proximity for those who don’t want to shop). From Spice to Fudge to Antiques and Clothing the range is diverse.
Glow Worm Caves: Located at Cedar Creek Winery
Skywalk: The longest canopy walk in Queensland weaving through rainforest tree tops is located less than 10 minutes by car from our location.
Cedar Creek Lodges: A great selection of outdoor activities: horse riding, fossicking and the largest rope course in the Southern hemisphere.
Our mountain hums with activities at all times of year from Christmas in Winter dinners at Bungunyah Manor to the Scarecrow Festival, Tour de Tamborine Triathlon, Springtime on the Mountain (Open Garden Spectacular) and the Tamborine Mountain Show. Live music and concurs at many locations are regular weekend features including at Eagle Heights Motel, St Bernards, Clancys and Deli Vinos.
