Just chill out…or jump in the choice is yours.
Visit North Tamborine village, a gentle 10 minutes walk, and go back in time, relax, have coffee and cake, take in the fresh mountain air and listen to the birds sing over a light lunch and a glass of Sauvignon Blanc.
Then walk a little further along to Gallery Walk and browse the antique shops, explore the artisan displays and try the local produce. It’s all rather relaxing.
Our favourite restaurants on the mountain include:
Hillybillys Cafe, Main Street – great coffee, breakfasts & lunch
The Three Little Pigs, Main Street – exceptional quality food to satisfy any gourmet palate
Belvedere – Genuine Italian food from Marco – consistently great
Clancy’s Irish Pub – The fire roars in winter and the Deck is bathed in sunshine in the summer. Two consistent features are great pub food from Chef Marcus and the live Irish fiddling music led by Martin, the pub owner, in the evenings and on Sunday afternoon.
Georges of Paragon on Gallery Walk – Step into a Greek world miles away from Australia.
St Bernards – true Aussie icon and proper Aussie hotel, amazing views to the Coast and fantastic food with a new chef
Wine, Beer and Distillery:
A little more exercise required? How about golf? Or walking in the national parks?
Tamborine has a 9 hole course and only 30 minutes away are the World renowned courses of Sanctuary Cove, Hope Island, Royal Pines, and the Glades to name just a few! Lawn Bowls is also available. And we have nine national parks with walks between 20 minutes to two hours – something to suit everyone through amazing rainforest and waterfalls. For the really adventurous hot air ballooning, skydiving and paragliding are available or a less adrenaline filled bike hire to explore the mountain is easily organised.
